2026 RET Project: Coming Soon

The Reinhard Laboratory is an interdisciplinary research group developing functional nanomaterials for applications in imaging, sensing, and photonics. A particular focus is on the development of nanomaterial probes for elucidating fundamental cellular processes and characterizing nanoparticle-cell interactions. Lab members come from a variety of backgrounds, including physical chemistry, physics, biomedical engineering, and materials science engineering. The lab’s current research areas include: Plasmon Coupling Microscopy, Bioplasmonics, Nanoparticle-controlled Cellular Signaling, Plasmonic Catalysis, and Plasmonic Microbe Inactivation.
