Alice White
Professor Emerita, ME, MSE, Physics
With over 125 publications and 7 patents issued/pending, Alice White is a Fellow of the American Physical Society, the IEEE Photonics Society, and the Optical Society of America. She is also conducting research as part of CELL-MET, a multi-institutional National Science Foundation Engineering Research Center in Cellular Metamaterials (EEC-1647837). CELL-MET aims to grow functional and clinically significant heart tissue while simultaneously developing a talented and diverse workforce to tackle future challenges in synthetic tissues engineering. In addition to her role in Mechanical Engineering, she is a Professor of Materials Science and Engineering, a Professor of Biomedical Engineering, and a Professor of Physics, as well as an affiliate of the BU Photonics Center and BU Nano.
