Advancing the Delivery of Gene Editing Systems

By joining our lab, an RET educator would learn more about novel biomedical engineering research and the scientific community, with our lab specifically focusing on advancing the delivery of gene editing systems. To elaborate, one branch of the lab utilizes computational tools, such as machine learning and biostatistics, to design proteins for improved cargo delivery. The RET would be exposed to our lab’s intersection of wet (physical) and dry (computational) work, providing the unique opportunity to gain familiarity with accessible computational tools. Tailored to the RET educator’s specific interests and goals, we would design an engaging summer experience to promote developing knowledge, skills, and activities translatable to their classroom.
