Sloane Kinley

Sloane is a Mathematics and Biological Sciences double-major at Converse University. While she originally wanted to be a veterinarian, she eventually fell in love with math, and now holds a goal to pursue a mathematical biology PhD and work in R&D at a bioengineering or pharmaceutical company.

Targeted Therapeutic Delivery through Modified Nanocarriers: Sloane’s research project in Michelle Teplensky’s lab aimed to decrease an inflammatory and damaging immune response to vaccines, specifically in lungs during type-1 infections. Her mentors were Siyi Zheng and Mayayi Izzo.
