Ella Brown
Ella completed her first year at
Designing a Soft Bioinspired Grasper for Underwater Manipulation: Also known as the “Octopus Project,” Ella worked with Tommaso Ranzani in the Morphable Biorobotics Lab to replicate an octopus’s movements for the purpose of underwater research; primarily she designed and prototyped the creation of a “soft arm.” She was mentored by graduate student Anna Maria Moran.
