The Journey
In the horizontal plane
cities pass
like sensors for signals
from elsewhere.
Less and less I understand
precisely why I'm here and whether
it's the right me.
Each train station and bus terminal
has photographs of missing children:

although they know by now precisely
why they are not right here,
not their right selves, and
the Queen of the Undead
hangs on their lips
like a weasel
