pussywillows bloom in Fairbanks, Alaska. When the oboist arrives in
the spring she meets the baby of Ava and Tim, which has webbed feet,
feathers, and eyes the color of egg yolks. Then she joins the postman in
Rome, oboe to his cello, and spends hours on the phone.
