MODERN LIVES
Richard thinks successfully to his last self, "I like the way
these teens get wet pants. " He imagines himself. The sky
blooms;
petals fall in the cracks. The old people go on and continue to
go on. This is the kind of girl your daughter will marry, dreams
of impregnating millions .
Lucy cleans her house. She brushes her teeth . Lucy cleans her
pants. She takes care of the old people who are everywhere at
once. They go away with her ropes. She wants them to go away
with her ropes.
Deborah says, " Kidnapping people is no fun." She wants to go
for
a ride on his pistol. She wants to get old and be everywhere at
once. She wants to know everyone. She puts on her rings with
her
fingers. She wants to begin to eat.
Robert moves closer to judy's bedroom. He watches her all over.
Sometimes she wants to change places. She thinks
to
herself,
"wet
pants." Robert is busy making up words. He makes up
"modern. "
Later he makes up "hockey game." Judy wants to be a popular
smger.
