15. Front room of Martin's cottage. Soon after.
Medium close-up of Lena. Her expression is tender, self-con–
fident. (The audience shouldn't realize in this shot that we are back
in Martin's house.)
LENA :
You shouldn't let yourself put on so much weight.
Long shot of Martin, standing near window. He crosses the
room. Lena's next line comes as he passes in front of her, blocking
her from sight. (In the previous shot, perhaps Lena is blocking Mar–
tin. )
LENA:
You're naturally thin.
Without any visible reaction to Lena's words, Martin passes to
the right of the shot (unblocking our view of Lena) and leans over
the fireplace. He throws in a fresh log. As the fire flares up, Lena,
still sitting, reaches out and touches his waist.
LENA:
You don't get enough exercise any more.
Lena stands up, close to him. She touches his hair.
LENA:
It's matted.
