UNICEF Needs You!
The tragedy of Nigeria is written
in the eyes of thi s small Ibo boy,
and millions li ke him, caught in a
hopeless civil war.
By midsummer, when the world
awoke to their pli ght, the United
Nations Children's Fund had been
at work for several months bri ng–
ing emergency relief to children
and mothers trapped on both sides
of the fighting lines.. Over 5,000
tons of food and medical supplies
have already been delivered by
UNICEF, in co-operation with the
International Committee of the Red Cross
volunteer church
groups, to Biafra and to the areas under Federal control. More is on
the way, severely straining UNICEF's resources.
Moreover the need for UNICEF's help will continue unabated
