a

AIR FORCE CHIEF CHAPLAIN IN VIETNAM,
SEES FIVE NEW CHAPELS
SAlOON -
Msgr. (Maj. Gen.) Edwin R. Chess, chief of U.S. Air Force
chaplains, has visited the 10 U.S. air bases in Vietnam....
"I know of no more heart-warming experience as chief of chaplains
than to participate in the dedication of a new chapel," he said at
Phan Rang.
"As long as we as a nation continue to build chapels, wherever
we are, for God's glory, as long as we are given a place for our wor–
ship. As long as each of us fulfills his obligations as Christian or Jew
dedicated to God, we have the assurance that God will be with us," he
told the congregation at Tuy Hoa.
Five new chapels have been completed on U.S. air bases in Vietnam
since his last visit one y.ear ago.
"No other nation provides chapels such as ours around the world,
especially in a war theater," he said.
