right, Mary, sit over there
(indicating the stool).
Eddie, are you ready? Let's get started. It's late.

(off-stage):
Coming, coming!
FILMMAKER: "Kitchenette"-take one. Roll 'em!
MIKIE
enters upstage left carrying a litter basket. He is dressed in
torn undershirt, baggy trousers, very nervous, very neurotic look-
