Prospective Students
If you are an undergraduate student with strong background in math, probability, and signals, and you are interested in exploring the world of research in machine learning, intelligent systems, signal/image/video processing, computer vision, biomedical imaging, wireless networking, control theory, etc., there exist various research opportunities. Please contact a MINDS faculty member from the area you are interested in.
If you are a prospective graduate student interested in one of the MINDS research areas, and have a strong background in electrical and computer engineering, mathematics, probability, and algorithms, we encourage you to apply to the ECE graduate program. The department offers various Fellowships as well as Research Assistantships to accepted PhD candidates. While MS students are not eligible, exceptionally skilled candidates may be considered for participation in research projects. For details see ECE Degree Programs.
Admissions are handled by the ECE Department and the College of Engineering, so please do not contact MINDS faculty about the application process. If you are an exceptionally strong candidate with an established publication record, in parallel with the official application to the ECE graduate program, you may wish to contact a MINDS faculty member by sending your CV. However, due to the large volume of email that faculty receive, we regret that we may not be able to reply to the vast majority of requests; please do not be offended.
