BU Dropbox is an ideal storage solution for researchers who regularly share data with those outside of BU.
Support Policy
MET IT is responsible for the following:
- Installation of Dropbox Desktop app on BU-provisioned devices
- Discussing storage alternatives for accounts exceeding quota
BU IS&T is responsible for provisioning licenses; MET IT will escalate account issues that may be caused by licensing problems to BU IS&T on the user’s behalf.
Users may save files that have a Data Classification of “Restricted” and lower.
- Storage Quotas

As of September 6, 2024, storage quotas for Dropbox are 250GB per person.
Users with a significant amount of data will not be able to request additional storage space and should contact us to discuss alternative options.
