MET IT Staff

Adam Brilla – Senior Educational Technology Support Specialist

Adam is our Ed Tech Wizard, the guy who makes sure our ed tech doesn’t go haywire! Whether it’s in-person, online, or hybrid classes, Adam’s got it covered. He’s all about making our ed tech life easier, offering training, leading projects, and teaming up with folks across BU. Plus, he’s serving as a tech consultant on MET events held elsewhere on campus.

Daniel Mitrano – Learning and Event Technical Specialist IV

Daniel is our Event Maestro, the guy who makes sure our events are smooth sailing! Whether it’s online, hybrid, or in-person, Daniel’s got it all under control. From event planning and training to tech support and streamlining processes, Daniel is the backbone of MET’s event success. His role is a mix of project management, tech wizardry, and a whole lot of problem-solving.

Edgard Hernandez – Senior Systems Engineer

Edgard is our Systems Sorcerer, the mastermind behind MET’s top-notch learning systems! He works closely with faculty to bring courses to life using both tried-and-true tools and the latest tech magic. Whether it’s setting up virtual labs, integrating course content, or mentoring student tech staff, Edgard ensures everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

Julia Burstein – Director of MET IT

Julia is the mastermind behind the seamless delivery of IT services and support for around 200 MET employees across three locations. She’s the leader of a team of six IT pros and 15 student employees, making sure everything runs like a well-oiled machine.

Michael Graziano – Educational Technologies Engineer II

Mike is our Tech Knowledge Master, the guy who makes sure our faculty, staff, and students have all the tech tools they need to teach and learn like pros—whether they’re in the classroom, online, or somewhere in between. 

Steven Hastings – Cloud Systems Engineer III

Steven is our Cloud Conductor, aka the maestro of MET’s cloud systems, SaaS, PaaS, and DaaS platforms. He’s the guy who turns our cloud strategy into reality, making sure everything from daily operations to long-term innovations runs like a dream. 

Tong Cui – Help Center Manager

Supporting around 200 users and 400+ devices across three locations, Tong’s role is essential to keeping our operations running like clockwork. Whether it’s setting up a new laptop, troubleshooting software issues, or ensuring we have the right tools to teach and learn, Tong keeps MET tech moving forward—one support ticket at a time.
