Bloomberg Terminal
The Bloomberg Terminal revolutionized an industry by bringing transparency to financial markets. As part of the Bloomberg for Education Program, MET faculty and students have access to Bloomberg Terminals on campus that provide an incomparable, experiential learning opportunity to gain the tangible skills for a successful career in finance.
Support Policy
MET IT is responsible for the following:
- Providing access to the East Suite during weekday evenings and Saturdays
- Computer support and troubleshooting
MET IT is not responsible for the use or troubleshooting of the Bloomberg Terminal product. Please refer to the the Help documentation for support.
- Lab Availability

- Location: 1010 Commonwealth Avenue, First Floor, East Suite, Faculty and Student Flex Space
- Hours of Operation:
- Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
NOTE: For weekday evenings (5:00 PM to 9:00 PM) and Saturdays, you must request MET IT technicians to grant access to the East Suite.
- Booking Policy

- The Lab has four Bloomberg Terminals available for use that must be reserved.
- Students can reserve the terminal in 30-minute intervals for up to 2 hours per session.
- Please cancel your reservation if you can’t make it so that other students can use the lab.

Create an Account
- Double-click the Bloomberg icon on the desktop.
- Once the software opens, press the Enter/GO key to bring up the login screen.
- Select the Create a New Login option at the bottom of the login screen.
- Fill in your user information as follows:
- “Company Email” field = BU email address
- “Mobile Phone” and “Company Phone” fields = personal cell phone number
- Select the method of receiving the verification code (SMS strongly recommended).
- After receiving the verification code, enter it in the appropriate field, press the Enter/GO, and then click Next.
- Create your personal password, then click Click here to return to the login screen.
