Studio 116

Overview

Studio 116, is a multipurpose self-service space designed for the following:

  • Production of high quality video and audio recordings
  • Editing of multimedia projects, training resources, and reusable course materials
  • Hosting of live Zoom meetings, webinars and fully-remote online events.

This bookable space provides MET Staff and Faculty with professional-grade equipment and a sound-treated environment to conduct these projects and events at their leisure. To make a reservation request, please complete this form.

While Studio 116 is self-service, first-time users and those looking for training on video editing, live event hosting, or recording techniques should make an appointment with a MET IT staff member to assist during their reservation. You can indicate this in your reservation request.

Equipment and Features

Studio 116 is capable of video recording, audio recording, live broadcast via Zoom, and the high-speed editing of video content. The following equipment is featured:

  • Four Adjustable Studio Lights
  • Streaming-Capable HD Web Camera
  • USB Broadcast Microphone
  • Cintiq 32 Handwriting Capture Display
  • Green Screen Backdrop
  • High Graphics Power Dell XPS Workstation

Location and Support Policy

Studio 116 is located in  room 116 on the 1st floor of  the Metropolitan College at 1010, Commonwealth Avenue

MET IT is responsible for the following:

  • Provide access to the Media Studio Monday through Friday: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
    • Allow 2 business days for self-service reservations
  • Provide supported sessions and training by appointment with MET IT staff
    • Allow 5 business days for reservations with MET IT Staff appointments, as availability is limited.
  • Equipment maintenance
