My interest in microbes and engineering them to build wearable biosensors have led me to join the Galagan lab. Using different approaches, I work with the screening team to screen novel transcription factors/redox enzymes to build novel synthetic biosensors. I envision bridging the gap in diagnostics to develop simpler, cheaper, and globally accessible tests, especially real-time diagnostics.
