Nuclear Pore Complexes (NPCs) mediate macromolecular transport between the nucleus and cytoplasm of a cell. In the Akey Lab, I am generating high-resolution structural data on a subset of yeast NPC nucleoporins to better understand their functions and role in NPC assembly.
