Digitization
Through Digital Ventures, the BU Libraries work collaboratively with scholars and specialists at BU and beyond to responsibly digitize and develop unique digital collections that help enhance faculty and student research. We aim to provide broad, equitable, impactful, and sustainable access. While we are initially focusing on flat and bound media digitization projects, we welcome you to reach us with your project needs for other formats.
Our secure digitization lab provides climate-controlled storage for special collections materials and our equipment is setup to digitize materials following the FADGI Technical Guidelines for Digitizing Cultural Heritage Materials – 3rd Edition (2023).
