Derek Howe

Derek Howe is the Vice President for Budget, Planning, and Business Affairs for Boston University.  He has been the Vice President for Budget & Capital Planning since July 2011.  The Business Affairs unit was added in July 2018.   Derek and his team currently oversee the University’s operating and capital budget planning process and informs and advises on financial and business matters across the University.  , and develops various managerial reporting and analysis tools.  He and his team play a critical role in examining and developing the University’s management information and business systems to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
