This year, I was on the Pierce boy/girl volleyball team. We played 6 vs 6 games against the other schools in the Brookline district. In volleyball, my favorite position is serving. This is mainly because I get to be the one who distracts the opponent’s offense. Although we lost the season, we still managed to come into either 3rd or 4th place (we did not really know what place we were in, but that is a story for another time).
I’ve always loved to sing! When I was a little girl, I knew all the words from the Russian concerts on TV. I would constantly perform my own concerts to family and friends. Now, being a 14 year old girl, I know all the words to songs on the radio. I write my own original music and accompany it with either the violin or piano (also original music composed by me). It brings me such joy to be able to express what I feel using music. Although many people have asked me, I have never taken voice lessons (but, I really want to!). I hope that someday I will be able to share my music with the world and inspire others to follow their dreams.
I have done violin for as long as I can remember. I longed to play when I was 3 years old. In the 4th grade, that dream finally came true! I’ve gone a long way from then to now. I have participated in both the Townwide Orchestra (since 6th grade) and the Brookline Youth Orchestra (I successfully got accepted this year!). Although I am not sure what the future holds, I know that I will continue to play the violin throughout the rest of my life.
