Created by Michael Schur who also helped produced The Office, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and Parks and Recreation. The Good Place stars Kristen Bell as the protagonist, Eleanor. It's a lighthearted comedy with underlying philosophy lessons. Very funny, very clever.
A magical children's show about space creatures with a complex backstory. It questions who Steven is and who he'll become. If you like kids' shows, give it a shot.
A Japanese film studio that made your childhood. My favorite from them is Spirited Away. I've also watched Ponyo, The Secret World of Arrietty, and My Neighbor Totoro. I need to watch Kiki's Delivery Service, When Marnie Was There, Princess Monoke, and Howl's Moving Castle.
Based on the novel by Antoine de Saint-Exupery, it's a story about a girl whose whole life is ahead of her. However, in her perfectly-planned world, an old neighbor introduces her to The Little Prince. I love the soundtrack for this movie, but you MUST read the book before you watch the movie for ultimate entertainment.
By Claire Legrand. This is the first book I read from Legrand and now, she is one of my favorite authors. It's a combination of realistic fiction and fantasy that deals with mental health and family problems. The main character Finley has her heart in the Everwood, but when the Everwood begins to die, it is her job with the help of her cousins to discover the source of this evil.
By Melissa Albert. This is the latest book I finished and I couldn't stop turning the page. It's about a girl who constantly moves with her mom to escape the "bad luck." It's a combination of realistic fiction and fantasy, which reminds me of Claire Legrand's Some Kind of Happiness and The Cavendish Home for Boys and Girls.
By Antoine de Saint-Exupery. My all-time favorite story. It's like a fairy-tale/classic. I don't have much to say besides just read it. Also, do not judge the book by the title. (I know many people who have)
