This mouthwatering starter can be in patty form or in a lightly fried ball and is called courgette balls. The outer layer is usually made of grated or pureed courgette mixed with spices such as, dill and mint. Tzatziki (greek dip made from yogurt,chopped cucumber, and mint) is usually served with courgette balls.




The image above depicts the most recognized dish in Greece, Moussaka. Moussaka is an oven-baked casserole of layered eggplant and spiced meat filling topped with a creamy bechamel.
