An interdenominational service of prayer and music acknowledging the University’s Methodist roots while remaining inclusive of all religious traditions.

A station-style luncheon for members of the platform party, Dr. Gilliam’s personal guests, and other honored guests.

Robing and lineup for all those participating in the academic procession. Light refreshments will be provided. Robing area opens at noon, and we request all arrive by 12:45 PM.

A formal ceremony to install Dr. Gilliam as president. Greetings and remarks, interspersed with musical interludes, from the trustees, state and city dignitaries, members of the wider academic community, and BU faculty and students.

SOLD OUT!

The celebration continues at Fenway Park where the Red Sox take on the Tampa Bay Rays. Join us for a pregame ceremony honoring President Gilliam and Boston University. The Presentation of Colors will be made by the ROTC Color Guard and the national anthem will be performed by a member of the BU community, accompanied by the BU Marching Band. Watch out for other BU surprises throughout the game. Ticketed seating is available for students, faculty, staff, and invited guests.
