Srikanth Goplan, affiliated faculty with the Boston University Institute for Global Sustainability (IGS), has research interests in the areas of solid state ionics with specific emphasis on fuel cells, electrolyzers, and batteries. He is particularly interested in the point defect chemistry and transport phenomena in mixed conducting materials, and understanding the role of surfaces and interfaces in facilitating electrochemical reactions. A secondary interest is exploring novel solution processing methods to achieve nanoscale heterostructures for efficient electrocatalysis.
