
Serrie Anderson
Director of Finance and Administration, IGS
Serrie Anderson is the Director of Finance and Administration for the Boston University Institute for Global Sustainability (IGS), joining the Institute in October 2023. In her role, Anderson is responsible for the Institute’s financial management and budgeting, grant proposal submission and post-award support, overseeing office operations, and hiring/human resources activities.
Anderson is a double Terrier, earning her BA in Linguistics in 2013 and her EdM in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies with a concentration in Higher Education Administration in 2017 at BU. She has spent her professional career at BU in various roles across faculty affairs, undergraduate research, and academic advising, and most recently in department administration. Anderson is a Boston Community Scholars Program Mentor, has served on the CAS Professional Development Committee, and has taught in CAS’s First Year Experience Program (FY101).
When she’s not in the office, Anderson enjoys baking, exploring local hikes with her husband, board games, and finding a good chai latte.
