Andrew Robichaud, affiliated faculty with the Boston University Institute for Global Sustainability (IGS), works in various fields of American history, including environmental and urban history, with a focus on nineteenth-century America and the creation of modern environmental and spatial relationships.He is the author of Animal City: The Domestication of America (Harvard, 2019) and is at work on a new book called On Ice: America’s Nineteenth Century Ice Age and the Making of Modern Life, which is cultural, economic, and environmental history.
