Prior to joining BU, Apfelbaum was the W. Maurice Young (1961) Career Development Professor at the MIT Sloan School of Management and the Team and Group Research Fellow at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. His research and teaching seeks to unearth the challenges and potential of leading, learning, and working in an increasingly diverse world. His research is featured in top academic journals as well as popular press and media outlets in the U.S. and abroad. He was recently named one of the Top 40 Business Professors by Poets & Quants. Apfelbaum works with companies on issues of leadership, DEI strategy, and culture.
