Pam DeCoste is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive strategic communications plan for Global Programs in close coordination with the Managing Director of Strategy & Communications. Pam leads overall production of and writes content for a wide range of communications media. She supports the management of day-to-day operations of communication efforts across all Global Programs units, as well as helps grow website traffic and works with the Web Developer and Administrator to keep content fresh and up-to-date.

Prior to joining BU Global Programs, Pam provided marketing and PR expertise to numerous education and nonprofit clients through her independent consultancy. Before launching her own freelance business, Pam worked in marketing and public relations for Cornell University and the University of Cincinnati (UC), where, among other things, she contributed to alumni magazines, created web content, co-led rebranding efforts, and developed and implemented digital and print marketing campaigns. Before moving to higher education marketing, Pam worked in public relations and advertising agencies in Boston and New York. An experienced marketer and PR professional, Pam led successful campaigns for a wide range of clients in the technology, B2B, healthcare, and education industries.

Pam holds a B.A. in Journalism from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY. She is a board member of the PR Club (formerly the Publicity Club of New England) and enjoys writing, photography, and spending time with her two young children.
