As the Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications, Pamela DeCoste manages the development and execution of communications and marketing strategies for BU Global Programs and its units. In collaboration with the Managing Director of Strategy & Communications, Pamela leads all aspects of Global Programs’ efforts to promote BU’s globally focused activities and scholarship through the University’s initiative for International Education Week. She also supports the Vice President/Associate Provost for Global Programs with communications related to BU’s global strategy and activities.

Pamela brings more than 15 years of public relations and marketing experience, with proven success in leading strategic brand, marketing, and communications campaigns. Prior to joining Global Programs, she ran a successful consultancy delivering executive-level communication and providing PR and branding counsel to numerous education and nonprofit clients for several years. Before consulting, Pamela held key roles in marketing and communications for Cornell University and the University of Cincinnati. Prior to her tenure in higher education marketing, she rose through the ranks in full-service marketing agencies in Boston and New York, leading successful campaigns for a wide range of clients in the technology, B2B, healthcare, and education industries.

Pamela earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from St. John Fisher University in Rochester, NY. She is a board member of Boston’s PR Club. Outside of the office, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her two young children.
