Home Lesson Plans BCLA

In the last year I worked together with Keith Magni on the the curriculum for the 9th and 10th grade  physics classes at Boston Community Leadership academy (BCLA). BCLA is a pilot high school in Brighton,  Massachussetts. The science curriculum contains typically a one year physics course, leading students to be able to take the MCAS exam on this subject.
My role in the classroom was not only to provide resources and expertise to the students but also to actively develope and enhance the curriculum. My work focused mainly on the following :
  1. Providing individual help and tutoring for the students
  2. Enhance the curriculum by bringing interesting demonstrations and using BU resources
  3. Setting up existing lab equipment and developing activities with it
  4. Developement of new curriculum material, class activities and demonstrations (especially in the fields of Electricity and Magnetism)
This website gives an overview of the achievemnts and developed activities.
