Rebecca received her MA in International Relations and Environmental Policy at the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University in 2016. She focused her studies on the intersection of trade and climate policy, specifically looking at the absence of the mitigation of international maritime shipping emissions by countries and international organizations. She wrote a policy brief titled Conspicuously Absent: Shipping Emissions in Climate Change Policy for the Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future in March 2017, and continues to research and learn in the field.
Prior to becoming the GDP Center Administrator, Rebecca worked for the World Wildlife Fund in the China Markets Division, where she was instrumental in preparing reports that looked at the WTO and the sustainability of China’s international supply chains. She has also served in the United States Army and worked in many different sectors. She holds a BA in History and Geography from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
