Nominations

Eligibility

Any person associated with Boston University (administration, alumni, benefactors, staff, students, trustees, and others), except for members of the faculty, who has served the University with great distinction and has made important contributions toward the goals of Boston University is eligible for nomination.

Nomination

Current members of the Boston University faculty must nominate a non-faculty member of the BU community for this award. Letters of support may be submitted by any member of the Boston University community or external persons with knowledge of the candidate’s service.

Please nominate individual candidates only. Nominations for groups or teams will not be reviewed by the Awards Committee.

Instructions

A current BU faculty member must nominate the candidate using the online form below.

That same faculty member must arrange for letters of recommendation to be sent to the Faculty Council office via email (fafc@bu.edu).

All candidates must have a minimum of three (3) and a maximum of five (5) letters of support to be considered by the committee.

Nominations and letters must be submitted to the Faculty Council by the deadline. For the 2025 Award, the nomination period will  close on Friday, February 28.

The winners will be announced via broadcast email in mid-April.

The 2025 award ceremony will be on May 6 in the Metcalf Trustee Ballroom, 1 Silber Way, 9th Floor, from 5 to 7 pm.
