
Sophie Selbe
EWL 2025 Mentee
Sophie Selbe is a Ph.D. candidate in Epidemiology at Boston University School of Public Health, where she currently serves as a Graduate Research Fellow. She holds a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Tufts University School of Medicine and dual bachelor’s degrees in Biology and International Relations from the University of Nevada, Reno. Her professional experience spans healthcare analytics and public health research, including roles as a Healthcare Analyst at Mass General Brigham and Point32Health, where she specialized in population health management and value-based care analytics. Earlier in her career, Sophie contributed to several public health initiatives, including HIV/HCV prevention and harm reduction services in Massachusetts, and worked with organizations such as the Boston Public Health Commission on violence prevention programs. Her experience also includes international public health work with Medical Teams International and the Clinton Health Access Initiative in Laos, where she helped improve medical supply chain systems and supported public health programs.
