Kertu Tenso

EWL 2022 Mentee

Kertu Tenso, is a PhD candidate at Boston University School of Public Health, specializing in Applied Health Data Science. Since May 2019, she has been a Data Analyst at the Veterans Health Administration, focusing on SQL, Stata, and R for data analysis. She has previous experience as a Research Collaborator at Cambridge Health Alliance, and internships at Institut Pasteur, WHO, and the UN Human Rights Council. Kertu holds a Master’s degree in Humanitarian Action and Global Health from Sciences Po, and a Bachelor’s degree in Government and Politics from the University of Tartu, graduating Cum Laude.

Research Interests: Focus on machine learning and causal inference methods to predict and explain suicide-related events
