Kayla Laserson, is the Director of the Global Health Center (GHC) at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). In this role, she spearheads CDC’s global initiatives aimed at protecting and enhancing health through rigorous science, sound policy, strategic partnerships, and evidence-based public health practices. Dr. Laserson boasts extensive international experience, having worked in countries such as Mexico, Brazil, Kenya, Russia, Latvia, Vietnam, and India. Her prolific career includes the publication of over 100 peer-reviewed articles. Dr. Laserson earned her Bachelor’s degree from Harvard College and her Doctorate of Science in infectious disease epidemiology from the Harvard School of Public Health.
