
Athira Suresh
Communications Officer
Athira Suresh is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Epidemiology/Biostatistics and Maternal and Child Health at the Boston University School of Public Health. Her academic journey reflects her deep passion for health equity and social advocacy, driven by a commitment to improving community well-being and advancing reproductive justice. With a strong focus on evidence-based solutions and community-centered approaches, she strives to address health disparities, amplify marginalized voices, and create meaningful change in the lives of women and children. During her time at Boston University, Athira has been actively involved as an executive officer for the Maternal and Child Health In Action organization and is currently a research fellow for the PRESTO (Pregnancy Study Online) research group at Boston University School of Public Health and Yale School of Public Health. Outside of her academics, Athira enjoys writing, reading, and visiting her friends and family back in Texas. In 2023, she published her debut poetry book, Dead Girl’s Summer, showcasing her passion for storytelling and exploring complex themes through her writing.
