Dear Colleagues:
Thank you for agreeing to take on this important charge from President Brown.
As we look forward to seeing (most of) you at our first meeting on Thursday October 18, we would like to ask you to review the various assertions and questions in President Brown’s charge (attached for your convenience), and to come prepared to say a few words about your interests as they relate to the issues put in front of us. That said, we realize that for many of us these issues (including emerging trends and offerings made possible by technology) might not have been on our radar. As representatives of various university constituents, an integral part of our work will be to get “educated” on such issues in order to be able to assess (and discuss with the university community at large) the opportunities and challenges ahead of us.
We look forward to working with you all.
