New REDCap Version Release

Our BUMC REDCap installation was upgraded to version 8.5.1 on Friday, July 20th. Some additional features introduced in this new version include:

  • PDF Auto-Archiver & e-Consent Framework
  • Survey-specific email invitation fields
  • Smart Variables
  • Sponsor Dashboard
  • External Modules (additional request process)

Please take a look at the REDCap 8.5.1 Change Log for a complete list of changes and updates included in this new version of REDCap.

As a reminder…

  • By using REDCap, you agree to the terms of the REDCap End-User License Agreement.
  • If you are collecting data for the purposes of human subjects research, review and approval of the project is required by your Institutional Review Board.
  • Real data should NOT be entered until the project has been moved to Production status.
