Dr. Rebecca Swaszek is an engineer in the Division of Aviation Systems Engineering at the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Volpe National Transportation Systems Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts. As a federal employee at a fee-for-service institution, she works on multiple projects for governmental (federal, state, municipal) clients such as the Federal Aviation Authority. She defended her dissertation, ‘Data-driven fleet load balancing strategies for shared Mobility-on-Demand systems’, in 2019 with advisor Dr. Christos Cassandras.
