The Center for Information and Systems Engineering hosted its 6th annual CISE Graduate Student Workshop (CGSW) on January 17, 2019 at the Boston University Photonics Center. Organized by students, for students, CGSW 6.0 was a day-long event that encouraged interdisciplinary sharing from CISE students and CISE affiliated faculty across diverse application areas. CGSW 6.0 gives participants the opportunity to share their research and hone their presentation skills in an engaging, collaborative environment. The event concluded with a reception at The Castle where top three students voted as best presenter were awarded.

- 1st Prize – Arian Houshmand: “Eco-Routing and Scheduling of Connected and Autonomous Vehicles: User-Centric vs. System-Centric”
- 2nd Prize – William Blair: “HotFuzz: Discovering Algorithmic Denial-of-Service Vulnerabilities Through Guided Micro-Fuzzing”
- 3rd Prize – Athar Roshandelpoor: “Bayesian Optimization for New Materials Development”
