Security Control of Distributed Networked Control Systems

The study of distributed networked control systems (DNCSs) is of great importance due to the wide applications in our critical infrastructures, such as smart grid, water network, transportation, etc. Its security control guarantees the normal operation of critical infrastructures and will seriously affect our daily life if it is under attack. In this talk, we will present the security control for DNCSs from system analysis and control synthesis perspective, which can guarantee the stability of the system under attack and obtain certain optimization goal. The controllability and observability of the system are discussed and the maximum attack survival is considered. Simulations will be given to show the attack effect and verify the effectiveness of the proposed methods.

Dr. Jing Wu is currently an Associate Professor in Department of Automation, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. Before joining SJTU, she received her Ph.D. degree from University of Alberta, Canada, in 2008 and worked as a Project Engineer with Tyco Thermal Controls-Tracer Division, Canada from 2008-2011. Dr. Wu is a registered Professional Engineer in Alberta, Canada. Her current research interests include distributed network-based control systems, smart grid and their applications to industrial problems.
