NSF Workshop on Smart Cities, December 3-4, 2015, Arlington, VA

Held in Arlington Virginia, the purpose of the National Science Foundation (NSF) Workshop on Smart Cities was to assemble (by invitation) experts from academia, relevant industrial organizations, and government whose activities are closely related to the theme of Smart Cities. The goal of the Workshop was to identify a short and longer-term agenda for Smart Cities research spanning areas that include transportation, energy distribution, health care, water resources, environmental monitoring, emergency response, and related issues of data management, social engagement, urban planning, and policy.
