Vikas Dhiman is an Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of Maine. His work centers on safe robotics, with a particular focus on estimating uncertainty in neural networks and developing uncertainty-aware safe-control methods. He is also interested in sparse and causal environment modeling for robotic navigation and manipulation.

Vikas holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering: Systems from the University of Michigan, an M.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from the State University of New York in Buffalo, and a B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee.
