Yasaman Khazaeni

Yasaman Khazaeni is the VP of Data Science and Machine Learning at Rue Gilt Groupe. She brings over a decade of experience spanning research and applied machine learning leadership, including roles as Director of Data Science at Capital One and Associate Director of Machine Learning at Wayfair, where she helped deliver next-generation personalized recommendations across the customer experience. Earlier in her career, she spent more than five years at IBM Research in Cambridge, MA, working on multi-agent systems and control theory.

Khazaeni is a former student of CISE Affiliated Faculty Professor Christos Cassandras (ECE, SE). She graduated from Boston University’s College of Engineering in 2016 with a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering, with her dissertation, “An Event Based Approach to Control and Optimization of Multi Agent Systems,” focusing on multi-agent systems control and optimization.
