Philip Hart

Dr. Philip J. Hart received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2013 and 2017, respectively, where he was a Research Assistant with the Wisconsin Electric Machines and Power Electronics Consortium (also known as WEMPEC). In 2018, he joined GE Research as a Power Systems Engineer. He is currently a Senior Power Systems Engineer at the GE Vernova Advanced Research Center, in Niskayuna, NY, where he has served as PI or Project Lead for various business-funded and Dept. of Energy-funded projects relating to next-generation power systems. His primary research focus during his graduate studies and employment at GE Vernova has been on grid-forming control of inverter- based renewable resources.
