Madison worked in the Chen Lab on a project called Characterizing SynNotch Receptors for Improved Cardiac Regeneration. She took synthetic notch receptors, synNotch, and introduce them into human endothelial cells.
More about My Experience
Madison is from Texas where she was starting her junior year at the University of North Texas when she joined the REU program at BU. She was majoring in biomedical engineering/math and minoring in biology.
Characterizing SynNotch Receptors to Drive Vascularization for Improved Cardiac Regeneration: Madison worked in the Chen Lab with mentor, Jessica Teo. Madison would often see REU, Akhila Johny in the lab! Read more about the project here.
