Under the supervision of Helen Fawcett, Jourdan worked with Gabriel Hubbard on building and programming a robotic hand. In addition to coding the behavior, Jourdan helped developed robotic hand-focused curriculum for use in middle and high school classrooms.
More about My Experience
Jourdan recommends that future REUs make the most of their experience in Boston and use transferable skills they learn in the lab, within their education. He also says that Boston’s transportation system is amongst the best, especially when it comes to exploring the city.
After completing his experience, Jourdan graduated with a BS in Mathematics from Fort Valley State University. He went on to obtain a MS in Applied Statistics from Grand Valley State University. He is currently continuing his education at Penn State.
