Jonathan worked in the Lejeune lab and was mentored by Hiba Kobiessi. He created an accessible Python and Jupyter Notebook software that allows them to distribute strains from cardiac microtissue. He enjoyed seeing his programs functioning properly after constantly working on the code.
More about My Experience
Jonathan is from New York City and attended the New York Institute of Technology.
Extracting Average Region Strain Signatures from Cardiac Microtissue: As a first time REU, Jonathan wasn’t sure what to expect. Over his time in the Lejeune Lab working with his mentor, Hiba Kobiessi, he was relieved to find that – in addition to being quite technical – his project gave him the “sense to be creative and come up with solutions to problems that don’t exist yet.”
After earning his Computer and Electrical Engineering degree in 2024, Jonathan went on to become an Electrical Design Engineer.
