Lahann Lab
Joerg Lahann is the Director of the Biointerfaces Institute and the Wolfgang Pauli Collegiate Professor of Chemical Engineering. He obtained his PhD in Macromolecular Chemistry from RWTH Aachen (Germany).
Though the Lahann Lab spans many areas, their work within cardiac tissue research focuses on employing hydrodynamically-induced fibrillogenesis of fibronectin to fabricate and engineer protein substrates for various tissue regenerations, and investigate various way to incorporate extracellular matrix proteins to model the in-vivo characteristics of cellular environment.
